Learning tips
- Nicht ganz so gut commonly suggests a limited gap; bei Weitem nicht so gut emphasizes a large one. Je mehr..., desto... connects changing degrees. That linguistic relation alone proves neither scientific causation nor an exact numerical function.
- Der beste Kandidat ranks someone within a set; an unspecified set may overstate the evidence. Für diese Aufgabe am besten limits suitability to a particular task. State property, comparison set, time and supporting evidence to avoid unintended overclaiming.
Use it in your own text
Write six new sentences about your life, experiences or views. Use the rules and table and check why each form fits. The models are illustrations; you need not force every form into one text. This is self-assessment; the test score is recorded separately.
